These two pictures were taken a few days after Faith arrived.
Faith rested for about 30 minutes and began to come around. She started drinking and began to walk around the room about the time I arrived home. Within a few hours, Faith was able to eat some chicken and rice I had made. We knew she would be ok. Now off to the vet in a few days to have her checked out, vaccinated, etc.
We were completely overjoyed when we received the news that this girl is heartworm negative!!! I would have bet money that she was positive, but thankfully this is one bet I would be happy to lose! Faith has been with us about a month now and she is just a joy to be around. She is completely up-to-date on her shots and has been spayed. All she needs is a family.
Daddy poured on the affection early on so Faith would always know she is loved.
Faith is a fairly low- key girl, but enjoys playing fetch and can run very fast! She does jump on you, but only when she gets very excited (i.e., when I first get home from work, etc.). She is learning that she only gets affection if she sits and doesn't jump(we're still working on that part but she knows how to sit on command now). Faith is a devoted kind of pup...one that would NOT be happy alone in the yard or alone all day. She can be a bit needy right now, which is to be expected at this point (who knows where or what she came from).

Faith's upper and lower teeth are completely worn down in the front (the vet said she probably chewed on a crate or something...). Her other teeth (canines and molars, etc.) are completely normal so this will not pose a problem for her. She weighs 80 pounds now. When she arrived, she clearly had had puppies not too long beforehand (although she was completely dry at the time). No one knows what happened to them or whether she was "put out" when she was finished weaning them. Either way, we are lucky to have this girl.
Just look at this beauty!
Faith would LOVE to find a home with someone who has time to spend with her (at least a good part of the day). She currently sleeps on a doggy bed and does not require crating as long as you "puppy proof" the room (primarily remove trash cans that may contain food...she's a lab- lol). She has not chewed on anything at all. However, she has scratched the door a few times in the beginning and the window sill when she can see me outside with the other dogs. Because we have a dog that isn't so crazy about new female dogs, we have to separate them when we aren't home.

Sunbathing on a gorgeous day!
Faith just wants to be with everyone and doesn't understand why she can't. You will be the center of her world. She will follow you, making unbelievable eye contact. She is still learning boundaries as she can be a bit pushy with her attempts to attain affection (i.e., will nudge your arm to get you to pet her, etc.). This girl would do fantastic in dog training (wish I had time now...). She would make a wonderful therapy dog if she could conquer the no jumping thing. She has only has 2 bowel accidents (no urine) since she has been here and both times she whined to let me know, but I couldn't get to her in time. She is the greatest cuddler and would love nothing more than to lie next to you in bed or on the couch.
Do you want a cuddle buddy?
You can tell we really love her and think she is fantastic. If we didn't have so many dogs we would honestly keep her. She is going to attach to whomever adopts her so we would love for her to find her furever home soon. Please call Allison at 901-240-9848 if you'd like to fill out an application for her or would like to find out more information about her. Check out some more pictures of this cutie below:
Hugs from mommy- you can't help it when you meet her!
Always attentive
