ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RESCUE THANKS TO OUR NORTHERN FRIENDS!

These two wonderful ladies drove over 8 hours from Wisconsin to St. Louis to help save 5 more Mid-South furbabies! Linda (blue shirt) and Beth (red shirt) have been incredibly supportive over the past 2 years and have helped to save so many lives by their generosity, time, and effort. If we could just clone these two! A HUGE thank you to all of you who donated funds so that they could make this trip! As we all know, "rescue" is very expensive and the economy has really hindered rescue efforts due to the lack of donations. Check out some of the pictures from the rescue roadtrip today!

Sissy from the Osceola Animal Shelter says goodbye to precious Foxy. I know how much you and Paula loved this girl - you both took such great care of her! She will get a great home thanks to your efforts!

Leroy Brown from Wynne Friends of Animals hitched a ride along with Jade (formerly Tiara) from Forrest City Humane Society. Both of these sweeties are going to Aimee in Michigan to be fostered! Thank you Gail and Bobby as well as Lisa for meeting me so early!

Kisses for sweet Jade- if you met her you would understand why (she's a doll!)

Awww...who wouldn't love that face!

Amy with her adorable foster pup, Pebbie. Pebbie was one of the 5 abandoned Shih Tzu pups! She is headed to the Shih Tzu Rescue in Wisconsin (thanks Lois)! Amy has had nothing but nice things to say about this precious girl...we wish you the best Pebbie!

Jade with her foster mommy, Lisa! It is because of Lisa that this girl has the chance to find her furever home- foster parents are the BEST!

Katie found a new friend in Leroy Brown! I met my sister, Kelly, in Cape Girardeau, MO and these two would not stop playing on their potty break! Thanks again Kelly for always coming through!

Too cute!

If you meet Pebbie, you can't help but hold her! She was almost hairless 2 weeks ago and now it's already starting to come back!
Just adorable!
How cute is she!

Katie giving Leroy Brown a hug!

YES...still playing!

We don't think they ever used the restroom...just played!

Katie is so pretty in person!

Shy Foxy...I don't think it will take long for this girl to come out of her shell!
Oh yes...a familiar friend! These two came from the same shelter in Arkansas! Sissy and Paula would be so proud of you Foxy!

Finally Katie is tired!

Adios Kelly! Thanks again for meeting me!

Beth from Wisconsin- one of the doggy angels!
Loaded up again! Don't worry, today is the first day of the rest of your lives!

  1. And this was Kelly's second drive to Cape in two days as she and her friend Janet came to Silverwalk on Saturday where Janet fell in love w/Sassie, taking her home as a companion for both her and her other dog. YESH, Kelly and Janet, as well as the WI rescues and you, Allison :0.
