THE PURPLE PAW PARADE AT LAST!!!!

Kevin and I planned months ago to attend the Second Annual PURPLE PAW PARADE to benefit Orphan Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Neenah, WI, so you can imagine how excited we were that the time had finally come! This wonderful group has become family to us.

Although we were hoping to see more of our past adopters, we were incredibly happy to get to see Mose (aka Sterling- thanks Shawn for bringing him!). Sterling was one of Jewel's 5 pups that we fostered from a few days old (in fact, he was the runt!). Check out these babies from when they were a couple weeks old (Sterling is the little silver one of course); http://woofconnections.blogspot.com/2010/11/happy-3-week-birthday-to-jewels.html

We also appreciated Jaime and Glen bringing Riley for the walk! There was a great turnout and we hope that OARS receives even more donations in the future for their great work! They have saved so many lives from this area and we love them! Check out their website for more information on their wonderful organization www.orphananimalrescue.org!

We had such a great time and were so happy to finally meet some of our "Facebook Friends"! Many of the people we met have donated to either Oso's heartworm treatment and/or Peanut's heartworm treatment, so it was just wonderful! Check out some of the pictures from the Parade below!

We were completely surprised AND honored to receive a surprise award for saving lives (we should be giving THEM the award!). In all honesty, this meant the world to us. We can't wait to have a real "shelter" to hang this on the wall along with photos of happy tails!

Hard to believe this gorgeous boy was the tiny runt!

Max is a wonderful boy who is available for adoption through OARS!
