Meet Faith...an absolutely gorgeous yellow lab who wandered into our lives. My husand was outside in the yard when our neighbor came over asking him for help with a dog that had collapsed behind their house in an empty lot. Kevin ran over there and found this precious girl nearly lifeless. The temperature was nearly 110 with the heat index. He immediately scooped her up and carried her into our air conditioned home.
Who can resist this face?!
Faith slowly began to recover. She began to drink water and later even ate some chicken and rice that I had cooked when I arrived home. This precious girl has now been with us over a week. She has not left either of our sides since then either! Faith is an amazing girl. All she wants is to be by your side. She has recently had puppies (although her milk is completely dry now) and other than a few ticks and fleas and some missing hair (likely due to fleas), she appears in pretty good health.
Faith will be going to the vet this week for vaccinations and to be heartworm tested (we pray that she is negative, but there is a good chance she will be positive as she has likely lived outside). We are guessing she is about 4 years old. She is a doll...seriously. Not one single accident and she isn't even crated! Faith is currently staying in our "computer room" and she loves to sleep on her dog bed (sometimes the couch too...). We take turns letting her hang out in the family room as well and she loves it! She truly will make the best companion in the world. We hope that she can find a home with someone who has time to spend with her. She is like a sponge right now, she is thoroughly enjoying belly rubs and just general affection. Faith would make the perfect family dog! Oh and she gets along with every dog she comes in contact with!
Not so crazy about bathtime at first, but she got the hang of it!
