Update 10/10/10: Come on folks...only 20 more days until this chip-in ends and Mij needs help! Think of how many lives have been saved by this amazing woman.
************************************************************

***UPDATE 9/15/10*** Thanks to the following people for chipping in for Mijanou's Boondock Saints so far:

Sona P, Carolyn B, Jeanne C, Kelly A, Connie K, Fabiola C, Carole C, Jennifer A, Lucy R, Lori B, and Diana M!

You truly are doggy angels!!! We are still a long way from reaching our goal so please share!

Our friend, Mij, needs help...this is the unbelievable woman who took in Lonnie and Lindy when no one else would. Lonnie and Lindy are 2 Pitties that were with PAWS of Marion originally (Kevin and I volunteered with them for 3 years), but were signed over to the Boondock Saints at the last moment (literally). Their foster parents could no longer keep them (it had been over a year).

Lonnie with his buddy Brut!

Look at Lonnie's face- now who is the scared one!

Anyway, everyone thought that Lonnie and Lindy could not be adopted into homes with other dogs. Mij is proving that wrong thanks to her expertise as a dog handler/trainer. Take a look at these recent pictures of these two...unbelievable really. They are now living happy and healthy lives on the Sanctuary. Mij took them through heartworm treatment (thanks to a wonderful sponsor, Nancy) and has agreed to keep these too as long as necessary. What a SAINT she is truly (not just to these two but to many dogs who had no other option).

Now Mij needs our help too. She is going through very serious medical issues of her own and NEVER complains. She gets up everyday to take care of all the "cast-aways" that she is now caring for due to the kindess of her heart. She has had to take in many dogs that had medical issues and her vet bill is becoming unmanageable. If there is ANY way you could please donate even a small amount to her medical fund, PLEASE do. This is a woman who takes in dogs that no one else would even think about taking. She has dedicated her life to rescue. Instead of getting a Starbucks coffee for a week, please donate that amount and know you are saving lives in the process.

I think Lindy has a boyfriend!

Lindy is a water fanatic!

She apparently likes the frog pond!

Every little bit helps! I have started a Chip In for her for those of you who prefer this method (see end of post). You can also donate directly to her veterinarian. Lastly, if you prefer to donate funds for food for all her dogs, the Feed Store information as well as other needed items is listed below.

Yeap...Lindy is waiting her turn with food!

Makes you want to jump right in- Lindy is in the very back and Lonnie in front! Rough life huh!

MIJ- WE LOVE YOU AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR INCREDIBLE DEDICATION TO THESE GUYS/GALS!
